By becoming a monthly giver, your donation can help our community’s hidden hungry. Your ongoing support will make a lasting impact on the lives of our clients.

A monthly gift of $32 would provide a client with one week of meals every month.

A monthly gift of $63 would provide a client with two weeks of meals every month.

And a monthly gift of $125 would provide a client with a month’s worth of meals.

We would love to have you or your organization become a sponsor for a client, or clients, here at Meals on Wheels. We offer three tiers of sponsorship opportunities, including:

Bronze sponsor: Sponsor one client for an entire year @ $125 a month, or $1500 for an entire year

Silver sponsor: Sponsor of three clients for an entire year @ $375 a month, or $4500 for an entire year

Gold sponsor: Sponsor six clients for an entire year @ $750 a month, or $9,000 for an entire year

Planned giving arrangements could offer you and your family significant tax benefits, while also providing much-needed resources for important causes, including Meals on Wheels. Confirmed planned gifts enable us to run programs and projects with assurance, and will help ensure that future homebound neighbors have the opportunity to receive meals.

A common way of making a planned gift is through a bequest. You can make a gift through your will or living trust by including specific language outlining your support for Meals on Wheels. Our standard unrestricted bequest language is as follows:

“I give to Meals on Wheels of Charlottesville/Albemarle, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation located at 704 Rose Hill , Charlottesville, VA 22903, Federal Tax ID #54-1061454 [a dollar amount, property described herein, or a percentage of the rest of my estate] to be used by Meals on Wheels of Charlottesville/Albemarle for its general purposes.”

Meals on Wheels is an approved Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) organization. The purpose of NAP is to encourage businesses, trusts and individuals to make donations to approved 501(c) (3) organizations for the benefit of low-income individuals.

2026-27 tax credits still available! We’re offering 65% credit on your donation!

Your donation qualifies for a Virginia Tax Credit if:

1. You are an individual who has donated $500 or more

2. You are a business or trust donor that has donated $616 or more

NAP FAQ
