About our Program

At Meals on Wheels, we believe in nurturing the well-being of the whole household, and that includes our clients’ beloved pets. Our Pet Food Program ensures that the companions of those we serve are well-fed and healthy, relieving our clients of the financial stress of pet care and helping them enjoy the unconditional love their pets provide. Our pet food program is free for all clients, but it is entirely supported by donations.

WHY your donation matters

Many of our clients live on fixed incomes and face the difficult choice between caring for their pets and other essential needs. By donating pet food, you help us lift this burden, ensuring that no pet companion goes hungry. Your contribution is more than just food; it’s comfort, companionship, and a little extra joy to those we serve.

How to donate

We welcome your donations of non-perishable pet food items, including both canned and dry food for cats and dogs. To accommodate various donor capabilities, we also accept pet food outside its original packaging. You can make a significant impact by dropping off these items at our office, located at 704 Rose Hill Drive, with our partner Fluffy’s Pet Shop in Barracks Road, or by selecting products from our online wishlists. Every can, bag, or box of pet food is deeply appreciated and helps us care for every member of our clients’ households.

Donation Drop-off Times

Please feel free to bring your donations to our designated locations Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 1 PM.

Online Donations

Alternatively, you can support our clients and their pets by purchasing items directly from our online wishlists or making a monetary donation through our website, the links to do so are below. Every contribution plays a crucial role in our mission, helping us provide holistic support to the entire Meals on Wheels family—clients and their cherished pets alike. Your generosity ensures that no member of a household, human or animal, is overlooked in our efforts to deliver not just meals, but also compassion and care. Thank you for your continued support and for making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
