Meet Our Board of Directors
Mary Connolly Mowrer, Board Chair — Mary is an experienced corporate finance professional and CPA. For the last six years, Mary has been working in the renewable energy industry and is currently the Director of Finance at Sun Tribe EPC. She has served on the board of Meals on Wheels since 2022 and has supported the organization in the roles of both treasurer and board chair. In her time on the board, she has come to see how important this organization is to so many in our community, and when delivering routes, she has been rewarded with seeing firsthand the joy and nourishment we bring to those who are unable to prepare healthy meals for themselves. Mary lives in Afton with her husband, two daughters, and their crazy cat. She loves spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, cooking, and gardening.
Anna Krithis, Secretary — Director of Supply Chain with Sun Tribe since 2022
Rishi Jain, Treasurer — Neurosurgical Sales Representative at Stryker since 2023
Robin Goldstein — Robin has been involved with Meals on Wheels since 2016, serving in a number of roles, including Executive Director from 2021–2024. Over the years, it has become a family commitment. Robin’s children have delivered meals with her during the summers, and her mother also volunteered for several years. What she loves most are the personal, authentic connections with the clients. Robin is truly thrilled to be back and part of this dedicated, passionate team. She lives in Charlottesville with her husband and two of her three children; her oldest lives in Boston. She enjoys hiking, playing guitar, and pretending like she knows how to craft - and she is looking forward to welcoming her first grandchild in August.
Hannah Humphrey-Pierce, Vice Chair — Hannah’s first job at an assisted living community—and volunteering at The Haven and soup kitchens with her grandfather—showed her how access to basic needs like nutritious meals can transform lives. After earning her Master of Public Health and deepening her understanding of food security as a critical social determinant of health, supporting Meals on Wheels felt like a natural and meaningful fit. After seven years at UVA Health, Hannah took a seven-month sailing adventure with her husband to chase a longtime dream before returning to Charlottesville in 2024 and starting her next adventure: co-founding a marketing agency—Three Cheers Marketing. Hannah lives just outside Charlottesville with her husband, their black lab Tilly, and 30+ thriving plants, and enjoys concerts, local restaurants, cooking, time on the water, traveling and exploring area cideries and wineries with friends and family.
Scott Kovin — Scott is an attorney at Woods Rogers Vandeventer Black PLC in Charlottesville specializing in commercial litigation and employment counsel/litigation. Being newer to Charlottesville (since 2024) and eager to make a tangible, positive impact in the community, Scott was drawn to Meals on Wheels as a meaningful way to serve and connect locally. He lives in town with his wife, son, and two dogs.
Tracy Delgado — Tracy has worked with nonprofits in a variety of roles since 2005, bringing over 20 years of mission-driven experience to her board service. After moving to Charlottesville in 2023, she was introduced to Meals on Wheels by Assistant Director, Anna Byfield and quickly became inspired by its mission. Tracy and her partner, Joe, enjoy exploring their new home, especially local festivals, hiking, farmers markets, and the unexpected events that make Charlottesville unique.
Kate Zenker — Kate is a retired RN who worked in hospital-based oncology for many years before transitioning to home care, where she focusing on senior clients. She has been volunteering as a back-up driver for Meals on Wheels for nearly two years, and recently joined the board. Kate is married to a physical therapist, and she and her husband have 2 adult daughters who also work in healthcare.
Dave Norris — Dave Norris is a former Mayor of Charlottesville and currently serves as Executive Director of the Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS (CAAR) Foundation. Dave has held numerous leadership roles in the Charlottesville non-profit community, with a primary focus on issues of affordable housing and homelessness.
Renee Branson — With a unique blend of over 25 years in education, counseling, and non-profit management, Renee is the founder and principal consultant for RB Consulting: Resilience Building, helping people cultivate resilience and well-being in their lives and in their workplaces. Renee’s first experience with Meals on Wheels was when her grandfather, who was in his 90s, received meals. He lived in a remote area of Eastern Kentucky and those visits were his connection to the world. More recently, her parents have received MOW. Giving back through board membership is Renee’s way of saying thank you! Renee lives in Charlottesville with her husband and their youngest son. Their four older children are grown and flown. They also have a baby granddaughter! They love traveling around the world and volunteering our time to make the world more just.
“Thank you for just being who you are; really sweet and good hearted people. The handwritten card touched me. I cried happy tears.”
