More Than Meals

Picture 191.jpg

Our dedicated volunteers deliver both food and daily social contact to people who live alone, helping them feel safe and secure.  Homebound neighbors who receive meals experience improvements in health and quality of life. Our services allow seniors to remain independent and thrive in their own homes.

Dedicated Neighbors

Most of our volunteers deliver one day each week, but we have volunteer opportunities for non-drivers as well!  As an organization we deliver Monday through Friday at lunchtime, including holidays, delivering hot meals to clients in the Charlottesville, Scottsville, Crozet and the surrounding county of Albemarle.

Local Support

As an independent, local organization, Meals on Wheels relies on contributions from the Charlottesville/Albemarle community to support its home-delivered meals program.  While some clients are able to pay the full cost of their meals, donations from caring individuals, local businesses and community organizations are how Meals on Wheels continues to feed our clients each weekday.
