Annual Holiday Gift Drive
For many of our meal recipients, the holidays are just another day. They don't have family to visit or friends to check in on them. It means so much that they know Meals on Wheels volunteers will be there on those special days with a hot turkey meal and a friendly hello.
Spread holiday cheer to a homebound neighbor...
Each year at the holidays, we make sure that each of our meal recipients has a gift to open to make them feel special and let them know they are not forgotten.
Share the joy of the season by contributing to our holiday gift drive!

Day of Caring
The Day of Caring is an annual event through the Thomas Jefferson Area United Way that promotes the spirit and value of volunteerism, increases the awareness of local human service agencies and schools, and demonstrates what people working together for the community's good can accomplish. Each year, groups from local business and organizations spend a day with us, helping to deliver meals and assisting with other projects. For more information, contact Kathy at (434)293-4364.
Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
Each Spring we host a luncheon to thank our dedicated volunteers. We give awards to volunteers who go above and beyond typical duties and acknowledge volunteers who have served our organization for at least five years.
Scottsville Fish Fry
Every year, residents of Scottsville hold a fish fry to benefit Meals on Wheels of Charlottesville/Albemarle. The dinner, which is held at a local church, raises thousands of dollars to support the important work of MOW. Plus, the fish is fantastic!
